Germany
Exchanges are limited to the secondary level. Applicants
must have a good working knowledge of German in order
to function in the German school, even for ESL positions.
If a subject area is to be considered, the Canadian
candidate must be fluent in German. The German teacher
will be fluent in English. Note: Since we have few candidates
who meet these requirements, the exchange authorities
will recruit to find a match for a Canadian applicant.
Therefore, it is essential that we receive requests
for Germany early in the fall. We suggest teachers considering
a German exchange contact the CEEF office for details.
