How long does an exchange last, and when does it take place?

The most popular CEEF exchange is the three-month international program. It is available to these destinations—France, Luxembourg*, Belgium*, Spain, Italy, Germany, and The Netherlands.

Visiting students arrive in Canada in mid-August and return home in mid-November.

Canadian students depart for their exchange period in mid-February and return home in mid-May.

*Luxembourg and Belgium are French-language destinations also. Please note that Belgium is a Two-month Program.

NB: Students who live in Provinces/Territories outside of Ontario must select from among the following exchange destinations: France, Germany, Spain or The Netherlands.

If you are interested in one of CEEF's shorter-term French-language Summer Programs to France or Switzerland, please click on “Does CEEF organize any Summer Programs?” These exchanges do not involve school time! (Summer Exchanges are available only to students living in Ontario.)
