Squeezed between the Netherlands, Germany,
Luxembourg and France, Belgium is one of
Europe's lesser known countries. Its capital city
of Brussels is one of the world's great
cosmopolitan cities, home to both the European
Union and NATO, as well as a wealth of
international trade and finance companies.
Belgium boasts medieval cities quaint towns,
gothic cathedrals and town halls, and castles.
Belgium has more than 350 delicious beers to
chose from, gourmet food and the finest
chocolates.

Flanders, in the north, a flatland criss-crossed
by canals, is proud of its great art cities, of
Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent. The 65 km North
Sea coastline is monopolised by resorts,
except for a few patches of windswept dunes.

To the south in Wallonia, you will find the rolling hills of the picturesque Ardennes, numerous castles, and the cities of Liege, Namur, and Tournai. Seasons are mild, but the warmest months (July and August) are also the wettest.
